Garden Frustrations

Why is it on the hottest day of the year so far, my biggest beef with gardening occurs..... The sprinklers quit oscillating. It seems it does not matter if I buy a cheap sprinkler or an expensive one, they do not, live long. I actually have collected some "older" sprinklers and they seem to be built much stronger. So tomorrow my best garden helper( my grandson Thatcher) is coming I will put him into action. He loves hoses and water!!!!
